Coming Tuesday: Middling Thriller March

March means Daylight Savings, the long-awaited moment when we emerge from winter’s dark-at-dusk cocoon to finally spring forward. Cinema Romantico, on the other hand, this March, wants to spring backward. Our love of middling thrillers is no secret here; we have sought them out frequently during the Pandemic, getting lost in the cozy rhythms of their mere adequacy. But watching “The Little Things” (review to come) made us miss them all that much more. And so if for some the third month of the year means March Madness™ and the Spring Equinox, for Cinema Romantico, in 2021 anyway, it means Middling Thrillers, every Tuesday, on the dot, reviewed with tough love.
