Don't Buy Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Yes, today is the day the behemoth "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is released nationwide on DVD. And since its director Michael Bay is Cinema Romantico's sworn enemy we wanted to plead with our many loyal followers to please, please, please not buy nor Netflix or rent from your local video store this film. (Yes, this matters. A lot. If you think Michael Bay isn't sitting at home today keeping close tabs on the DVD sales and cackling with glee as it racks up more dough you're sadly, sadly mistaken.)

No, we haven't seen it and so we're not telling you to do this because we can tell you the movie is or isn't good. (Take it instead from Peter "I Like EVERYTHING!!!" Travers who wrote: "'Transformers: The Revenge of The Fallen' is beyond bad, it carves out its own category of godawfulness.") The movie's box office speaks for itself. But even if Colorado had the best football team in the country you wouldn't buy a ticket to see those lawless hooligans play, would you? No. You wouldn't. And you should Just Say No to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".

Watch this instead. It's the best work Michael Bay has ever done.

Michael Bay isn't sitting at home hoping the dvd sells. He knows it will sell. Maybe you should use the blog to discuss the downward spiral of Spielberg who has replaced Bruckheimer as Bay's money man producer.

Touche. AND a perfect segueway because just the other day on his blog sportswriter Joe Posnanski termed Spielberg's "A.I." as being the longest movie he'd ever seen. A run time of "483 hours, 27 minutes, 49 seconds" to quote him exact. I would concur.
