Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself
You should definitely check out this article when you have time. I hate the cinematic phrase "giving the people what they want" almost as much as "it was exactly what I expected".

excellent points. and i am proud to say I haven't seen any of the big three sequels he mentions, and don't plan to unless they are playing on the airplane to china.
