"This Is The End Of A Very Long Day"

I tend to bring everything down to movies. Well, of course, I do. It's why when I departed for drinks & dinner on Saturday night with friends in the midst of a light snowfall I didn't think to myself, "Hey, a light snowfall!" But, "This could finally be my 'Serendipity' moment!" Alas, it wasn't. No Kate Beckinsale look-alikes out and about it seemed, but you get my point.

It's why this morning when my alarm clock rang the absolute first thought I had after I hit the "off" button was, I swear to God, this following exchange between Bill Murray and Andie Macdowell in "Groundhog Day" after February 3rd has finally arrived for Phil.

Phil: "Do you know what today is?"
Rita: "What?"
Phil: "Today is tomorrow. It happened."

Yes, people, I brought this historic inauguration down to movies but, god-damn it, doesn't that say it all? Today is tomorrow. It happened. Let us be thankful.
