Ms. Dunaway, You Have Cinema Romantico's Full Support

Apparently, there is a potential remake of "Bonnie and Clyde" on the horizon. Apparently, the actress slated to portray Bonnie Parker is (deep breaths, deep breaths) Hilary Duff. Apparently, the woman who played Bonnie Parker in the landmark original, the esteemed Faye Dunaway, arguably the greatest actress of all time, is none too pleased and is rumored to have said (and, damn, do I love this), "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"

Oh, boo-yah!!! Ms. Duff herself was none too pleased with Ms. Dunaway's comment but let the record show I am 100% on Faye's side. For God's sake, they already remade another Dunaway stone-cold classic ("Chinatown", the greatest movie ever made), now they - whoever "they" are - have to put their grubby hands on "Bonnie and Clyde"? Whose the Idea Man in Hollywood these days? Is he doing anything? Is there any orginality left? Please, I'm begging you, stay the f--- away from "Bonnie and Clyde". I mean, the thought of this just makes me sick to my stomach.

What's next, "From Here to Eternity" remade with Freddie Prinze Jr. substituting for Montgomery Clift and Jessica Simpson for Donna Reed?

Freddie Prinze, Jr and Jessica Simpson! gold!!! We'll need some hip young male singer to play the Maggio part. Let us see, it was the Chairman in the original. Hmmm. Let's make his character three people and go with the Jonas Brothers. We'll start production on Monday. Thanks for the idea
