The New York Times' fantastic film critic A.O. Scott has offered up a marvelous defense for smoking, as well as other unsaintly vices, to continue their frequent appearances in film.
Thank you, Mr. Scott. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. If there are people who continue to take issue with cigarettes showing up onscreen perhaps they should just stop watching movies altogether, eh? I sure as hell won't miss them.
