"I was never interested in stories about issues. I was interested in stories about people dealing with issues."
I know it's five years on but those insufferable gasbags who slung mud at "Million Dollar Baby" and tried to claim it was a film about an "issue" should really pay attention to that quote of Hewitt's. (They won't. "Issue" people are completely incognizant of the fact a character in a movie might do something they themselves would not.) "Million Dollar Baby" was a story about people who, in the end, had to deal with a terrible issue. That was all. Man, I can't wait to watch it again.

Welcome to the LAMB Nicholas! I really appreciated Million Dollar Baby too! This feature is so much deeper than just an issue as you said it!
