Go Away, Bay!

My friend Dave and I left the "Kill Bill" double feature early Saturday evening feeling mighty happy and invigorated and decided to meander a mere one block east for a little dinner at the festive Emerald Loop. Except there was a problem. Cinema Romantico's Public Enemy #1 Michael Bay and his "Transformers 3" production had caused the block on which the Emerald Loop rests to be shut down which, in turn, caused the Emerald Loop to be shut down.

(Boxes of fake rubble. Fake rubble? Michael Bay must be near!)

(Wabash Avenue closed down. You can't see it in this photo, tragically, but up there to the left is the Emerald Loop.)

I'm gonna say this once more and then that's it....GET OUT OF CHICAGO, BAY!!! I've had it with you, do you hear me?! I'VE HAD IT!!!!!!! I don't give 25 Shia LaBeouf facial expressions how much money your production is pumping into the local economy because everywhere I go in my city - my city, not yours! - I can't get because of you and your stupid movie that's going to get 4% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Can't you go film in Vancouver like everyone else?

Its one thing for a movie to wreak havoc in a city, but for that movie to be Transformers 3? rubs a fair amount of salt into the wound. You have my sympathies.

I appreciate that. This hasn't been easy.
