As I do each and every year on this day, I would like to take a moment and pay tribute to the anniversary of The Greatest Moviegoing Experience Of My Life. You know the film.
"All fighters are pig-headed one way or another. Some part of them always thinks they know better than you about something. Truth is, even if they're wrong, even if that one thing is going to be the ruin of them, if you can beat that last bit out of them.....they ain't fighters at all." - Scrap Dupris

Um, yeah, go Hillary ... or whatever.
ANYHOW, completely forgot to tell you that I saw Take Shelter and I'm still completely devastated. WHAT DOES IT MEAN???? I want someone to tell me. Aaargh.
Okay, as you were.
(Seriously, yo, you need a twitter account so I can annoy you more easily.)
Eeeeeeeeeh....I'm not sure about that whole Twitter. Too few characters. I'm an essayist. You never know, I may come around, but it usually takes me a few years to embrace any new technology and by then it's not "new" anymore.
In regards to "Take Shelter", I contend the end (spoiler alert for anyone reading this comment!!!) meant she had finally given in to his insanity and come over to his side. Your thoughts?
I love your dedication to the films you like most. I enjoyed Million Dollar Baby, but it wasn't a huge favorite. At least I'm an Elizabethtown fan, right? :)
Ha! Thank you. Yes, I will never shy away from vociferously addressing my love for my favorite films.
I don't think a lot of people are as enamored with "Million Dollar Baby" as me - especially as time has passed since its release - but that's ok. It's funny, it's one movie that I feel no need to defend or try and convert people to. I know what it means to me and that's all that matters.
