This may mean diddly squat to everyone else but yesterday's edition of the Chicago Sun Times advised they are in pre-production of a movie about former Syracuse University Running Back Ernie Davis. Davis was the first African American to win the Heisman Trophy (as well as the first African American ever selected 1st in the NFL Draft) who developed lukemia almost immediately after his collegiate career ended and passed away at the age of 24.
For a college football fanatic, any movie about the greatest sport in the world is a reason to cheer as they are few and far between. But when it's a movie about the greatest sport in the world in regards to one of its most interesting players of all time, it's a double reason to cheer.
Personally, I can't wait.
